Communication established between this country and the Mexican government / San Francisco commercial houses who do business with Lower California will be gratified to learn that the wireless commercial stations which the Mexican government has been erecting for two years on that peninsula are now in operation and that messages have already been received in this city from Baja California points / Hitherto except for the wireless station maintained by the United States on Magdalena bay, there has been no communication with Lower California ports other than by the semimonthly steamers, and as a consequence commercial interest, particularly those of local merchants, have suffered / The two wireless stations built by the Mexican government are situated at Mazatlan on the west coast and San Jose del Cabo at the extreme southern edge of the peninsula. Yesterday a telegram from Triunfo, Baja California, received by a local mining firm, proved that the former was in commercial operation. This means that the capital, La Paz, and the different mining centers of the peninsula are now in touch with San Francisco.
